Chor Machaaye Shor

Today a combative Prime Minister Manmohan Singh hit out at the opposition, primarily BJP for calling him “Chor”. Accusing them of hurting investors' sentiment by repeatedly disrupting Parliament, he blamed several international factors majorly for the downfall of Indian economy.  The PM also hit back at the opposition over the missing coal allocation files, saying that he is not the custodian of these files.

Yes, you are absolutely correct Mr.Prime Minister, nowhere the PM is called “Chor” in Parliament. But it is also correct that nowhere in a democracy, the PM takes order from somebody else who has failed to ever distinguish herself or himself in any form of human activity but still enjoys unlimited power without any accountability. It is also correct that nowhere so many ministers of a Govt. are involved in corruptions & scams but still shamelessly hang on  to  power,  nowhere Govt. misuses investigating agencies for staying in power & uses them against opposition as retaliatory tactics to force them to toe Govt. line, nowhere inspite of a faltering economy Govt. spends tax payers money on vote luring schemes.

Mr. PM, "Chor" is a bad word but worse has been the conduct of your cabinet members and your silence, inaction, involvement & stay in power inspite of such humongous misgovernance. The moral high ground that you are taking today by trying to project the sanctity of parliamentary democracy, won't work as the government has lost its credibility completely. Forget convincing foreign investors, the Govt. doesn't have in it to make a way out of the domestic opposition. And now you want the opposition to be mute spectator or beneficiary to the numerous scams under you? Do you want opposition to show you new ways of plundering the nation, an act that your Congress party has patented for itself? The aggressive language used by the Opposition may not be desirable but you must remember that shifting responsibility & blame doesn't always work in the realm of public sphere. If you are really feeling humiliated today by terms like "Chor", then it is your own inability to deliver desired governance to this country which is responsible for such a situation. If you are feeling disturbed by the Parliament's deteriorating status today,  then you are solely responsible for not restoring its dignity by  tolerating the corrupt politicians in your Govt., party and coalition partners. And yet you demand respect for the Parliament and for yourself from the opposition? Your argument that you are not the custodian of coal files is strange, laughable & also shameful. As leader of the Govt. & Nation, you are culpable of evading accountability by offering such logic and yet seeking respectability.

If my memory serves me correctly, the reasons for disruption of parliament was that the opposition wanted a CBI enquiry for the CWG scam, on another occasion the opposition wanted JPC for the 2G scam, on yet another occasion the opposition wanted a fair enquiry into Coalgate and Railway Ministry scams.  Are any of these reasons unjustified? Parliament did not function is a fact but does that stop a Govt. from functioning if it has the will? When you were resolute about bringing food security bill, you almost brought it by the ordinance route. This proves that there is no stopping, if the Govt.  wants something to happen. But if you just want to wash your hands off,  then you can blame anyone and everyone for that except yourself.

Leadership demands policy and there is a paralysis on that front as corruption & vote bank have played a very critical role. This has resulted in losing the trust of global and national investors. Please don’t think that the people of India are all blind or fools. Why only opposition, former chairman of Tata Group Ratan Tata  has also said a few days back that the leadership deficit in India is aggravating our economic crisis. He also said that the country needed leaders who lead from the front and the Prime Minister's team and the political class needed to pull in one direction, and not pursue individual agendas above national interests. He said “we have lost the confidence of the world and our Govt. has been slow to recognize that”. Do you think he is also playing politics and just trying to blame you & your Govt. for no reasons? Please recognize that this is not only a testimony to the performance of your Govt. by India’s most respected industrialist, but also the feelings of common man. Your own RBI Governor Mr.Subba Rao has revealed and confirmed two days back what has long been known - complete failure of the economic and fiscal policy of the present govt. attributing to lower growth, increasing inflation, falling rupee and increased interest rates . This govt. has done everything possible to harm the country in the last 9 years and take the country back 20 years. India is a rudderless boat just floating around waiting to sink because of an indecisive and weak leader.

Mr. Prime Minister, in the last 9 years of your rule - every single instance of misgovernance or scam of your Govt. has been unearthed by either the CAG or the Media inspite of you having all the resources under your command. Even after giving you all the proof, you always tried to bury them by giving political colour or hiding behind parliamentary democracy.  Congress party has systematically abolished professionalism, competence and integrity by using every possible means to destroy every statutory body like CAG, CVC, CBI, RBI, Election Commission and even Supreme Court for staying on to power. It has misused parliamentary democracy by bringing laws and constitutional amendments to create a camouflaged totalitarian state run on sycophancy and corruption. To this armoury, Congress and it’s partners have added intimidation and strong arm tactics to bend any spine and curb any conscience that might persist in the bureaucracy of the nation, where “law” is a notional dream on rare occasions when it is not a nightmare selectively applied to achieve the sole discernible objective of “Governance”, whose single minded application is for using the national resources for  personal pomp, pleasure and pelf of the ruling elites.  Former CAG Mr Vinod Rai and the RBI Governor Dr. Subba Rao have created new history and shown to the world as to how the Public Institutions should be run and deliver the goods expected of them as per the laws of the land. They deserve gratitude of this nation for their boldness and conviction in the way they carried out their responsibilities keeping in mind the benefits that go to the majority of the people irrespective of the situation without yielding to cheap popularity and pressures from the Government if these institutions have to play their role effectively.  But you have treated them as your enemy and left no stone unturned to defame them.

Sorry, Mr Prime Minister, it doesn't happen that way. As a man who felt his honour has been left in the ruins, you should have either rein on your party and govt. for economic discipline, transparent & honest governance or left the office gracefully long back. But alas! you didn't do that and hence the consequences.  Your intention of today’s outburst is obvious to all- pass the buck to the Opposition for your Govt.’s unmitigated disaster in managing the economy. Instead of accusing the opposition, find faults in your own govt. and organization.

Coalgate & File Vanishing Trick

Now it has been proved beyond doubt that our country is ruled by a bunch of thieves. It is shameless on the part of Congress led UPA Govt. to come up now with the 'missing files' story related to Coalgate scam. Actually I’m wrong as embarrassment only happens to those who have some shame and this Govt. does not have any. It is very evident that the Prime Minister's office and the coal ministry have a lot of things to hide.  This same set of thieves had the audacity to doctor the investigation reports to be submitted to the Supreme Court earlier and now doing everything under their control to ensure disappearance of critical files. This is not the first time that this has happened under Congress rule. When Indira Gandhi lost the election in 1977, thousands of files were destroyed and later declared missing. Otherwise how can a Govt. achieve the unbelievable feat of precisely losing only those files, which are most crucial to unearth the size & scale of the scam as well as identity of the beneficiaries? The few hundred important files missing are those related to screening committee meetings, recommendations of states and PSUs/companies presentations, which were required to establish irregularities in allocation of coal blocks to private companies as well as joint ventures with government entities. Also missing are files containing recommendations made by Congress MP Vijay Darda and forwarded by the Prime Minister’s Office for the Bander block. By taking the affairs of the state to such level, this UPA thieves have turned our country into a Banana Republic. Great going UPA! The only thing now remaining to be missing is the Prime Minister himself along with his team of tricksters otherwise known as ministers before the next General Election. Mr.Manmohan Singh, please have mercy on this nation & the people and play this final magical trick of yours.

The Tale of Two Speeches

In this 21st century, when we claim ourselves to be an aspiring super power - I don’t understand, why we Indians feel proud to remain in shackles of culture, nicety & blind faith?  How can any proud, educated and nationalistic citizen, defend the Prime Minister’s independence day speech which was neither reassuring nor inspiring to the nation?  Also, I fail to understand how some people can criticise Narendra Modi for taking on the PM point by point in his independence day speech, clearly abandoning  the old style of submission, humility and compromise – a style that leads us nowhere. Modi  not only countered the PM but also told the citizens how he can revive the pride of the nation by improving it’s socio-political state, economy, internal & external security and above all defuse the time-bomb of vote bank politics to save India &  unify Indians on developmental plank.  Modi’s message was simple, powerful and has the capacity to change the fate of the nation. While the Congress & UPA Govt.  never  tires of providing the common people their rights, which they are entitled to by the Constitution anyway, Modi reminded the Govt. of its responsibilities and the spheres where it failed to take action. Asserting that the nation is "restless" for a change, Modi rightly said that we need freedom from the status quoist mindset. Emphasizing that Congress has run out of ideas, he said, "the PM has listed the same problems that the first prime minister Pandit Nehru would enumerate in his Independence Day speeches. This shows we have not achieved much and underscores the need for us to liberate ourselves from old ways of doing things". He also reminded the PM and his party of what is true secularism by saying that "Govt. should have one religion, that of putting India first. They should follow the Constitution as their only scripture, while treating the entire population of 1.25 billion as their strength. They should take all 1.25 billion Indians along and earn their trust as a matter of faith". He actually exposed the PM to the problems of the common men and the global humiliation of our nation due to weak leadership. He also told the citizens that India has huge potential but what the political leadership of the current regime lacks is the will power to convert it into performance.
PM's independence day speech is meant to inspire the citizens of the country, charge patriotic fervour, re-instill pride, bring hope to the nation, strengthen confidence and reiterate Government's commitment that we can overcome all obstacles & do great. Manmohan Singh failed to do any of that. Instead what we heard  was a rambling speech by the PM that was neither reassuring nor inspiring. The burning issues that are agitating the minds of the common people viz., the spiralling price,  declining rupee,  corruption & scams plaguing the government, the threat to internal security of the nation from Jihadi terrorism and external threats from Pakistan & China hardly found any mention.  Instead he was busy boasting UPA, like it’s an election campaign and when Modi replied to him some people find it objectionable? The PM used the opportunity only to show himself as yet another supplicant of the Nehru-Gandhi family. Narendra Modi, on the other hand, roused people's hope and expectations and promised the real freedom that have eluded us for more than 65 years. He told the nation that we need to have a new vision and fresh enthusiasm for nation building. People of this country no more tolerate meaningless speeches on the Independence day, when the nation is undergoing numerous problems. The two speeches were poles apart as PM read out his pre-written speech in a monotonous voice without emotional appeal. On the other hand Modi spoke extempore, in a booming voice emotionally connecting  with the audience.  Narendra  Modi was perfectly justified in slamming PM's uninspiring and visionless speech. Any nationalist & patriotic citizen of India, would endorse the way Modi treated the PM's speech with contempt because that is what it deserved.
Modi has already arrived on the national scene and he can’t be wished away. Those who in Indian Polity and Media, don’t subscribe to this view should better start living with this reality. Atleast  Modi has made the nation and it’s people aware,  why and who they should listen to if they want to reclaim their pride in the 21st century world.

67th Independence Day & We the people of India...

The Independence Day of any country is a moment of pride and glory for it’s citizens. The preamble of our Indian constitution starts with the words – “WE THE PEOPLE OF INDIA” –yes, we the people of India, feel proud of being citizens of free India. 15th August is a day when we can proudly admire ourselves as Indian citizens as at the stroke of midnight of August 15, 1947, India shook off the shackles of British Rule and attained independence. On this special occasion, we pay rich tribute to those freedom fighters and patriots by saluting & remembering them who sacrificed their “today’s for our tomorrow”. However it is a day not just worth celebrating but, to re-think, re-evaluate and re-dedicate ourselves for the cause of nation building.

For me “Freedom” means to dream without inhibitions, to choose our destiny or path, to speak our mind and to make our own decision. Being citizens of an Independent country, each one of us expect  to enjoy rights to live, progress and prosper without discrimination and benefit from the policies & resources of our nation without fear or favour.

Today, let us take a few moments to reflect on how the nation has done in the past, and where it is headed to in the present and in the times to come. When we look at our social & political system and compare ourselves with the developed world, can we really claim that we are truly independent?  I wish to see a shining India in the golden words of Gurudev Tagore -

Where the mind is without fear & the head is held high,
Where knowledge is free,
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls,
Where words come out from the depth of truth,
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection,

Where the clear stream of reason hasn’t lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit,
Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought & action—
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.

Jai Hind.

Murads or Namurads??

Forgotten film actor Raza Murad started another controversy about the most loved whipping boy of Indian Politics Narendra Modi during an Idd prayer on last Friday at an Idgah in MP. When Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan wore a skull cap while greeting Muslims on the occasion of Eid ul-Fitr, he praised Chouhan's 'spirit of secularism'  by saying that Modi should learn from him.  He also said that "by participating in someone's festivities, your religion would not be corrupted”. This is all because in 2011, the Gujarat CM had politely refused to put on a skull cap offered by a Muslim cleric during his Sadbhavana fast.

What Mr. Murad or the Pseudo Secular politicians & media brigade  fails to explain is - does wearing a religious symbol of only one particular community make Indian politicians specially hindu politicians secular?

It doesn’t matter to Mr. Murad  & the secular brigade that BSP MP Shafiqur  Rahman  Barq, walked out of the Lok Sabha as India's national song Vande Mataram began playing, saying that it amounts to worshipping the Motherland & it is incorrect for a true muslim as he can worship only Allah. It also does not matter to them that Kerala ministers of Indian Union Muslim league IUML (allies of  "secular Congress party ” ruling Kerala), are refusing to light a lamp to inaugurate public functions saying this Indian tradition is un-Islamic.

Why in India only hindus have to bear the burden of secularism and prove their secular credentials every time whereas we never see any Muslim leaders participating in any Hindu religious ceremony let alone wearing a Tilak or accepting Prasad. Have anybody ever seen any Muslim leader participating in Holi, Diwali or Ganesh Chaturthi Utsav wearing a Saffron Anga Vastra or Turban? But no they need not do so, as Muslims are born secular but they demand that others behave as per their whims and fancies. How does it matter if Imam Bukhari asks Muslims not to join Anna Hazare because of Vande Matram, how does it matter that Saudi King while visiting India does not go to Mahatma Gandhi's samadhi, how does it matter if Islam forbids its faithful’s not to offer respect to Hindu culture or deities?

Does this brigade know the meaning of secularism? It is separation of religion  from state.  A secular person or politician can continue to hold his personal religious faith & beliefs, but he doesn't involve religion in matters of governance.  And this is what Modi says and does.

Just imagine how Modi would appear in the “Breaking News” and next day's News Papers if he had indeed worn the skull cap. The very media that is questioning his secular credentials today would have written head lines as “Maulana Modi”  and that he is playing communal politics and  ready to stoop to any level to become PM.  Modi is a man who’s secularism is in his heart and deeds to his motherland.  Anyone else in his place would have succumbed to the flashing cameras and simply worn the cap. They choose to ignore his dedicated work to improve the economy of Gujarat, but are outraged that he declined to wear a skull cap.

Modi is on record saying that for him “secularism is India First” &  his philosophy is ‘Justice to all, Appeasement to none’. He also said “first thing, to Hindustan’s citizens, to voters, Hindus & Muslims, I’m not in favour of dividing. I’m not in favour of dividing Hindus & Sikhs. I’m not in favour of dividing Hindus & Christians. All the citizens, all the voters, are my countrymen. So my basic philosophy is, I don’t address this issue like this. And that is a danger to democracy also. Religion should not be an instrument in your democratic process”.  But our secular media & politicians don’t understand, trust & publish what he actually means but very well interpret what he doesn’t mean (eg. Puppy & Burqa).

Secularism in India, provides a great escape route to politicians & political parties from performance & accountability. Therefore every mediocre, non-performing & corrupt Indian politician or political party is a self-proclaimed secularist.  After the Himalayan blunders created by Congress & UPA Govt. in economy, infrastructure, social issues, law & order, defence, external affairs and the loot raj they & their allies unleashed on this nation by indulging in scams in every affair of governance, they have realised that the age old  boggy of 'secularism'  would have to be their last resort to hoodwink  people. They have realised that raking up 2002 is safer than having to answer for 2004-2013. As such these politicians and their paid media have brainwashed India to react like this - with its poisonous vote bank politics. The policy of appeasement is a Congress invention. In a fractured Hindu society, managing the 15% Muslim votes would make all the difference between winning election to control power or sitting in the opposition. Congress needs only another 20% votes from the majority community to rule & that is what they have done in the last 65 years. Even most of the regional parties & the Left front have also been perfecting this tactic to win elections. The funniest  part of Congress brand of secularism is that outright communal parties like the MIM in Andhra Pradesh, the IUML  in Kerala & the AUDF in Assam are certified as secular, the moment Congress needs to ally with them.

The Muslim community has never really benefited economically despite going along with the Congress as per the diktat of their religious leaders is dawning on many Muslims. They and the entire nation have been taken for a massive ride by the corrupt Congress and its allies. Congress is superficially engaging with minorities whereas  Modi  has decided not to consider anyone as minority or majority but to treat all citizens as Indians. He has worked for upliftment of all communities in Gujarat. Unable to accept their minority vote bank being integrated into the main stream, Congress party is creating skull cap like incidents and enrolling out of job people like Raza Murad to raise these non-issues so as to fool the minorities. This should open the eyes of muslims and all Indians. Hopefully this will lead to a real political revolution in India, which will kill the politics of minority appeasement & vote bank politics. The only Leader who could defuse this time-bomb of vote bank politics to save India &  unify Indians on developmental plank is Narendra Modi.

Sorry Mr. Namurads, your dangerous & notorious game plan has been exposed & will not work with the electorate this time. Rest assured, 2002 will not be an issue in 2014. This Govt.’s unending failures in the last 9 years will be a far bigger issue.

My vote will be for a leader who does not wear religion on his sleeve, or in this case, on his head.

Defence Minister for Whose Defence?

I really wonder whether Mr. AK Antony is in the payroll of Indian Govt. & paid from Indian tax payers money or in the payroll of Pakistani Govt./Army/ISI.

He made a statement that “approximately 20 heavily-armed terrorists along with pe...rsons dressed in Pakistan army uniform ambushed an Indian Army patrol along the LOC in the Poonch sector of Jammu & Kashmir in the early hours of Today, killing five Indian soldiers”.

Why is he scared to directly say that Pakistani Army killed 5 Indian soldiers by intruding & ambushing them inside Indian territory? Why is he favouring Pakistan by providing an escape route to say that it’s army & thereby the Govt. is not involved?

How is he so sure that those who were in Pakistani army uniform, not Pakistani soldiers?? Is it that Pakistani army never indulged in such acts?? Or he has photo IDs of all Pakistani soldiers to know that these were not regular Pakistani Army men? Or has he been told so by the friendly & trustworthy Pakistani Govt. ? Or he & his Govt. doesn’t want to embarrass Pakistani Govt. & hoodwink Indian people into believing that these are “non state actors” not under the control of Pakistani Govt./Army/ISI? Or is he trying to save his spineless & cowardice Govt. from being accused of ineffective defence & foreign policy?

Have we forgotten Kargil, which Pakistan first said was done by terrorists but actually was a well-planned Pakistani Army operation? What was India’s offensive response after 26/11 Mumbai attack & many such terrorist attack in Indian soil directly aided & abetted by Pakistan Govt./Army/ISI? What action did India take after bombing of Indian embassy in Kabul more than a year back & again last week? What action did India take after beheading of 2 Indian soldiers a couple of months back? What action it took after Pakistan killed Indian prisoners in Pakistani prisons? What action did India take even after repeated violation of ceasefire rule by Pakistan along the LOC?

Now India Govt. will say these are acts by forces, who are against peace & peace talk between the two countries. And to defeat such forces India should refrain from provocative words, actions & go ahead with CONFIDENCE BUILDING MEASURES.

Why & how are we allowing this “Aman Ki Asha Shop” to be set up & run by this Govt.??

Does IM Exist?

Yesterday after a Delhi court convicted suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) member Shahzad Ahmad in the Batla House encounter, Union Minister for Minority Affairs K Rehman Khan said that the Muslim community don't believe that IM exists. Congress General Secy Digvijay Singh also reiterated that there should have been a judicial enquiry (though a Delhi court rejected this) & he would not apologize for his earlier comments that this encounter was fake.

What an irresponsible statement from responsible members of the Union Cabinet & Congress party?? Do they mean to say that Delhi court’s judgement was wrong?? All these investigations by IB, Delhi & other states Police and the learned court are a fragment of imagination? How can a minister give such “personal opinion” on a matter of national security and the Govt & it’s Prime Minister can’t ask him to keep his mouth shut. How can different members of ruling party & cabinet can give such statement viz., Digvijay Singh, Salman Khurshid, Shakeel Ahmad & now Rehman Khan and the party remains silent. Is our rulling party & specially the Govt is so spineless & irresponsible that anybody can say anything to suit their political need without any accountability? Does Indian democracy give license for senseless behaviour & utterance? Are they not bartering national security for vote bank politics?

But probably that’s too much to ask from Congress party, whose “Yuvraj” is on record telling the US ambassador in India that Hindu Radical groups are a bigger threat than even the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

Mr.Rehman Khan as per you - Muslim community don’t believe that IM exists. Your partner, SP Govt in UP says no member of muslim community is involved in any terrorist activity anywhere & all those caught for various acts should be released (thank God court stopped that). Some members of the community also say that 9/11 was a handiwork of CIA & 26/11 was orchestrated by RSS (thank God Kasab was caught, else that would have been confirmed by Digvijay Singh), for them Parliament attack was a small incident & Afzal Guru should have been released as a good will gesture (to whom?), they also feel that Osama Bin Laden was a saint & role model and that Hafeez Sayeed is a social worker and custodian of the interests of Indian Muslims – therefore whenever he says anything on India’s internal issues ranging from Kashmir to Mumbai to Samjhauta Exp to Parliament attack to Hindu terror – none of you or any Islamic organization ever asked him to shut up.

There are credible report & proof available with the Home Ministry that IM came into existence in the year 2000 & not post-2002 riots. And that this outfit has been nurtured & funded by Pakistan's rogue intelligence agency ISI. Nobody will believe that Congress Ministers, General Secys & Spokesmen are ignorant of these facts/information, when these are available to media & citizens of the country.

This clearly shows that the Congress Party is playing a cynical game to tap Muslim angst over terror probes for electoral gains. The Congress party, which had tacitly encouraged Muslim fundamentalists in order to garner their support during the elections even by canvassing with Osama lookalikes in Muslim dominated areas, are playing the appeasement card. For them votes are evidently more important than national security. This appeasement of fundamentalists has also ensured that moderate & progressive Muslim voices are slowly receding into the background. This attitude of living in a denial & obtusely refusing to accept the reality & facts by issuing such statements to appease muslim community is demoralizing the security agencies & posing threat to national security. First by doubting the existence of the terrorist organizations, then by doubting the authenticity of the encounters, and lastly by questioning the motive of the intelligence agencies like IB & putting pressure on another investigating agency, to shield, aiding & abetting the disruptive forces of terrorism & their sympathisers – they are hell bent on demoralizing the security forces & intelligence agencies and thereby endangering the sovereignty & integrity of the nation. It is well known in the intelligence circle that ISI has been funding politicians in India. Are the services of the ISI & LeT now being obtained to influence vote-bank politics?

Arise, Awake & Stop not, till the Goal is achieved...

It is strange that Congress General Secy. Shakeel Ahmad is talking incoherent things like Jehadi terror outfit Indian Mujahideen (IM) sprang up as a “chain reaction” to the 2002 Gujarat riots & if BJP forsake their communal politics, outfits like the IM will cease to exist.

It is a well-established fact that Indian Mujahideen(IM) is one of many groups composed of erstwhile banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) members. According to the Indian Intelligence Bureau, SIMI just took a new title IM because the top leadership of SIMI have been detained & would be available for interrogation. The change in names is believed to signal a change in tactics as SIMI affiliated militants attempt to garner more support from India's Muslim community rather than be seen as a group consisting of foreigners. This has been stated by the various Indian Security agencies in the Courts of India. It operates in India as a front & under the guidance, training & support of LeT, ISI & thus Pak Govt.

Now let us see the background of SIMI, the mother organization of IM.

SIMI was formed in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, in April 1977. It originally emerged as a student wing of the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) in an effort to revitalize the Students Islamic Organization (SIO) established in 1956. It is an Islamist fundamentalist organization, which advocates the ‘liberation of India’ by converting it to an Islamic land. The SIMI, an organisation of young extremist students has declared Jihad against India, the aim of which is to establish Dar-ul-Islam (land of Islam) by either forcefully converting everyone to Islam or by violence. SIMI’s slogan is "Allah is our Lord, the Qur’an is our constitution, Muhammad is our leader, jihad is our way & shahada is our desire". SIMI maintains that concepts of secularism, democracy & nationalism - keystones of Indian Constitution, are antithetical to Islam. They aim to restore the supremacy of Islam through the resurrection of the khilafat, emphasis on the Muslim ummah & the waging of jihad.

But if his logic is correct, can Mr. Ahmed & the Congress Party explain why there is no “Sikh Mujahideen” after the 1984 Sikh genocide in Delhi? Why there is no “Kashmiri Pandit Mujahideen” after they were either killed or thrown out of their homeland & still living as refugees in their own country? Why there is no “Hindu Mujahideen” after the Godhra train burning, which actually led to Gujarat riot? Can he also tell us if Jehadi terrorism did not exist in India prior to 2002? Was Congress not in power during many riots in Gujarat, Bihar, UP and many other places in India since independence? Was Congress not in power both in Maharashtra & Centre when the 1993 Bombay blasts took place & did he forget who were behind those blasts & many more in Mumbai trains? Has he also forgotten the serial blasts in Delhi, Jaipur, Bangalore, Hyderabad etc.? Congress Party & it’s leaders have a strange logic under which they justify violent act of one particular religious community in India but can’t see or want other communities to react & if they do, term it as communal. Why is Shakeel Ahmed trying to distort facts & mislead people of India? Fact is that Congress & UPA Govt. has failed in all fronts on tackling terror in India. His justification of terrorism is shocking. It is the Congress brand of politics that has bred terror in India. Terrorism flourishes in India courtesy minority appeasement of Congress party for vote bank politics & apologists like Ahmed. This is a shameful attempt of Congress Party to justify terrorists & terror attacks for political gains.

Has the Congress Govt. or its investigating agencies ever found any concrete evidence against any of the Hindu groups such as RSS, VHP etc. or even BJP, that they are involved in any communal or terror activities? In last so many years of thorough investigations, most of the times pre-laced with prejudice & malicious agenda, why the Central Govt. failed to prove the cases against Sadhvi Pragya Singh, Col Purohit & Swami Aseemananda for the so called non-existent phenomenon called "HINDU TERRORISM"?

It’s high time, that we follow, the preaching of Kathopanishad, popularised by Swami Vivekanand, “Arise, Awake & stop not, till the goal is achieved”, the goal being liberating our country, from the clutches of these Pseudo Secular Politicians.

Food Security or Vote Security??

A government that has done nothing in its two terms to improve agricultural productivity & fails to invest in research & infrastructure suddenly wants to end food insecurity with a bill less than one year before the election. It has randomly decided that 75% percent of rural India & 50% of urban India are below the poverty line & require subsidized food. After 65 years of our proud independence, most of which was ruled by Congress & it’s partners, isn’t such a revelation shameful? Does it not expose the lack of competency of Governance of the Congress party & it’s leaders? What should the Govt. of the day do when it realizes that a major part of the population is hungry & starving? It needs to provide water in their fields, best quality seeds & fertilizer at reasonable price, electricity in their factories, teachers in their schools & doctors in their health centers, provide reliable finance facilities, easy & cost effective transportation facility, warehousing and a market with justified pricing structure for their produce. But instead this Govt. offers subsidized food to almost 65 percent of the population  without an end-date. This is irresponsible populism. If it genuinely cared for the poor, what stopped the Govt. from helping them in phases every year from 2004? By now hunger could have been eliminated to a great extent. The Food Security Bill(FSB) is thus an attempt to fool the electorate before the elections, with the bill being paid by all of us – either as taxes or higher inflation. No one grudges the poor for their food. But the FSB is actually a testimony to the poverty of thinking of this Govt. on food security. Food security comes from ensuring 3 fundamentals -  creating jobs & improving income, ensuring higher food output by increasing productivity & creating a safety net to feed those who can’t do so themselves in difficult situations. A subsidy makes a beggar out of the poor, which is demeaning. An income is what the poor need – though no one denies the need for direct food supply schemes to those who are in distress. There is an old saying that “Give a man a fish & you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish & you feed him for a lifetime.”

So what is the credibility, effectiveness & implications of the FSB??

It is proposed that the food be distributed through our notoriously corrupt & leaky state-owned PDS. It is estimated that over the years anything between 37% & 55% of the subsidised rice & wheat are illegally diverted from these shops & sold in the open market. So, using these shops to distribute more food, will actually mean encouraging more pilferage & corruption.

Then there is the issue of identifying the beneficiaries. The scheme classifies 2 categories of beneficiaries – the process of which is complex & would also lead to corruption.

By one estimate, India needs 62 million tonnes of food stocks to service this scheme. India does possess a decent production of food grains to serve it’s population. But the leakage, corruption & lack of infrastructure have resulted in wastage of food grains while poor starved. A lot of the food actually rots in decrepit warehouses & in open space, something which Jean Dreze & Amartya Sen described as a "scandalous phenomenon" & a "situation of hunger amidst plenty". The bill proposes layers of administrative mechanisms to feed the poor in the country but fails to reflect on the supply chain management or rather lack of it, which results in inefficiency in warehousing, poor transportation of food grains, inadequate supply chains to offload the stored food grains, lack of processing units & technologies etc. & lastly the absence of fair market operating mechanism to give justified remuneration to the farmers for their produce. The need of the hour is to find remedies & sustainable solutions to these issues. What the bill could have suggested are - opening up retail sector, inviting investments in warehousing & processing domains to attract the best players to ensure the supply chain management & opening up of the agriculture market. That would have resulted in better quality & sustained supplies to the beneficiaries whereas the Government could have saved itself from going into fiscal problems by funding such a poorly managed & leakage prone program.

The food security programme when implemented will be the biggest in the world with the government spending an estimated Rs 125,000 crore annually on supply of about 62 million tonnes of rice, wheat & coarse cereals, covering 67 per cent of the population. This mega program will require a huge food subsidy. The cost of it will go up from 0.8% of GDP to around 1.1% of GDP. This is a serious situation where the government does not have enough resources. Take rice for example - the government purchases it at a cost of Rs.18 ($0.33) per Kg. This includes the price it pays to  the farmers, the cost of stocking the food & distributing it. Under the bill, the government will sell the food to the beneficiaries  at between Rs.1 & Rs.3 per Kg, which is a subsidy of Rs.16 per Kg. The Govt. says it will provide 62 million tonnes of food a year under the bill & the size of the subsidy is estimated around $24 billion. However, even if the quantity of food remains the same each year, the food subsidy bill will surely increase annually as the cost of food goes up (because of wage increases & oil price rises) but the amount  at which the Govt.  sells the subsidized food will remain the same. In reality with rising population, the quantity of the food supplied will also increase. Given the rising costs of the scheme, its sustainability is seriously in doubt.

Puppy & Burqa Secularism

All the “Puppy remark” controversy of the last 2 days have been a creation of vested political leaders/parties & some media houses. If one goes through the interview of Narendra Modi to Reuters we find that –
1. When he was asked “do you believe India should have a secular leader??” – he replied, “for me, my secularism is, India First. I say, the philosophy of my party is ‘Justice to all. Appeasement to none.’ This is our secularism”. Now can anybody dispute this??
2. Again when asked by the interviewer “how will you persuade minorities to vote for you??”, he said “first thing, to Hindustan’s citizens, to voters, Hindus & Muslims, I’m not in favour of dividing. Can anybody dispute this??
3. He never said that he is Hindu first, what he exactly said was “I’m nationalist. I’m patriotic. Nothing is wrong. I’m a born Hindu. Nothing is wrong. So, I’m a Hindu nationalist so yes, you can say I’m a Hindu nationalist because I’m a born Hindu”.
4. His so called puppy remark has been twisted to give a communal colour by the so called secular brigade. What he said was “While someone driving a car, if a puppy comes under the wheel, will it be painful or not? Of course it is. If I’m a chief minister or not, I’m a human being. If something bad happens anywhere, it is natural to be sad”. Is there anything objectionable to what he said?? Nowhere he compared muslims to puppies. It’s like if somebody asks me “Do you beat your kids?” and I answer “I don't even beat my dog”, does that mean for me, my kids are like dogs?? This secular brigade first should learn to listen, read & understand correctly - what they're doing is exposing their lack of education and evil intention of creating communal conflict out of nothing.
5. So many political leaders, film personalities & others like Shahrukh Khan, Abu Azmi etc. had made statements earlier that they are proud Muslims “ Garv se kehta hu mein Muslim hu” but nobody found that objectionable. It seems in India if one says they are proud muslim, they are not communal but if anybody says that he is a proud Hindu then he is communal. The word ‘Hindu” has become a dirty/communal word for some politicians/media houses. It seems in india if some one says “ I’m a Jehadi terrorist” – that’s acceptable but if some one says “I’m a Hindu Nationalist” - that’s communal. One has to accept that today India is a secular country only because it’s hindu majority. Nobody can show any muslim majority country in this world, which is secular. Because India is a hindu majority country, we had muslim President, Vice President and muslim’s in many other important positions. Can anybody show us any muslim majority country which had a non muslim President or Prime Minister?? Why other country – can a non muslim ever become a Chief Minister in Kashmir, which is the only muslim majority state in India?? But, so many other states in India has Muslim Chief Ministers inspite of being muslims in minority.

Yesterday therefore, Modi rightly said during his speech in Fergusson College in Pune- “Whenever the Congress is faced with a challenge – whether it is corruption, price rise, directives from the Supreme Court, or a minister being jailed, or the rape of girls or an atmosphere of insecurity – they do not answer people. The moment there is a crisis, they wear a burqa (veil) of secularism and hide in a bunker,”. If india has to survive as a secular, vibrant democracy, all right thinking & educated citizens & voters should stand together & teach this secular brigade a lesson by throwing them out of power in the centre & states in the next election

Does Hindu Terror Exist??

The Bodh Gaya blasts have brought to the fore a shameless attempt by some media organizations & politicians to communalize it by raising the boggy of the non-existent phenomenon called ‘Hindu terror’.

Sagarika Gosh twitted yesterday - “Two big stories this weekend: blast at Bodh Gaya & Modi begins his "virtual" Bihar campaign...”

Digvijay Singh twitted today - “Amit Shah (BJP Gen Secry) promises... a grand temple at Ayodhya, Modi addresses Bihar BJP workers & asks them to teach Nitish Kumar a lesson, next day bomb blasts at Mahabodhi Temple at Bodhgaya. Is there a connect? I don't know."

All the above are inspite of the fact that specific input was sent by the Intelligence Bureau in Oct’ 2012, that Bodh Gaya was on the hit list of the terrorist groups operating in India. Even a fortnight back, the IB had sent the sketches of two suspects who had sneaked into the state capital, but the police could not track the duo. The IB had specifically mentioned that the terrorists were targeting Buddhist places in reaction to the alleged atrocities on Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar. When an NIA team interrogated David Headley in the US in connection with the Mumbai blasts, he had categorically mentioned that terrorist outfit LeT had prepared a film on the Bodh Gaya temple & was planning to trigger blasts there. Even Indian Mujahideen (IM) member Syed Maqbool, who was caught in connection with German Bakery blast in Pune, had also confessed to the police that there was a plan to blast Bodh Gaya temple. A map of Bodh Gaya was also seized from his possession. Even Delhi police commissioner had warned the Bihar government on a televised press conference, that Bodh Gaya was on the hit-list of terrorists.

With this kind of untimely, uncalled & illogical romance of certain media & politicians with Jehadi Terror, it is not surprising that the northern parts of Bihar are emerging as the strong hold of the ISI backed terrorists outfits. The culprit of the most obnoxious & provocative act of kicking the ‘Jai Jawan Memorial’ in Mumbai was finally traced to the same region.

RSN Singh, a former military intelligence officer who later served in the RAW recently said that the ISI has been funding politicians in India. In the intelligence circles the identity of these politicians are very well known. The Pakistan & the ISI connection of some of the news channels & journalists is also too well known. Has the ISI found new recruits? What was Osama bin Laden to the Americans, Hafiz Saeed is to India. He is the most precious strategic asset of ISI to fight India & is behind every terror outfit operating in India be it SIMI, Indian Mujahideen, LeT or HUJI etc. The systematic destruction of India’s internal security apparatus is not only for vote-bank politics though Modi-phobia is a factor but not the sole reason. It has a larger dimension which is evident from the nervousness displayed by this dispensation with regard to ISI, Hafiz Saeed or Jehadi terror. Are the services of the ISI & LeT being obtained to influence vote-bank politics?

Encounter Politics

Ishrat Jahan was killed alongwith Javed Seikh a known LeT sleeper cell member & 2 Pakistani nationals - Amjad Ali & Jishan Johar Abdul Ghani - both LeT terrorists, on June 15, 2004. The whole Ishrat incident has 4 important elements – 1. Was Ishrat a terrorist, 2. Was the encounter a fake one and if so what was the motive, 3. Was the encounter necessary & 4. Is this incident being politicised for... vote bank politics even at the cost of demoralizing the law enforcement & security agencies. I would like to place a few facts & analyse these, based on those 4 elements :-

1.
a) If Ishrat was innocent, is there any explanation as to why she had gone to Ahmedabad, which is almost 500 km away from her home with an LeT operative Javed Sheikh. If she was working for Javed as a sales girl of perfume and If was abducted by Gujarat police and kept in confinement, why was her family never lodged any police complain when they didn’t hear from her for a few days. Also, there is proof that this was not her first visit to Gujarat with Sheikh, she came there earlier too.
b) In 2004, IB recorded a few conversations between the 3 people killed alongwith Ishrat and their Pakistani handlers, clearly pointing towards some plan to kill important political leaders in Gujarat and also commit act of terror in public places. The news channel Headline Today run a story on those and even played the tapes. Soon after Isharat and her 3 accomplishes were killed, LeT had owned up Ishrat, with its Lahore-based mouthpiece 'Ghazwa Times' describing her as an LeT activist & martyr and taking umbrage at the action of Indian cops in removing her veil.
c) In 2009, the union home ministry under the then home minister Chidambaram and home secy GK Pillai submitted an affidavit in Gujarat High Court certifying that there were enough proof of Ishrat and her 3 accomplishes were LeT operatives.
d) In 2010, NIA during it’s interrogation of David Coleman Headley, was told with details that Ishrat was a LeT operative recruited by Muzammil, an Let commander incharge of India operations till 2007 and was part of a module planned to kill important politicians in Gujarat and wage war against india.

2. There are reasons to believe that the encounter was not completely genuine but what CBI has completely failed to explain is what was the ulterior motive of the IB & Gujarat Police to kill these 4 people other than saving the nation and it’s people from terrorist attacks. The so called human rights organizations can just watch the killing of thousands of civilians by terrorists but they can't miss a chance to malign the image of our security agencies even when out of 4 killed, 3 were definitely terrorists & 2 of them were Pakistani nationals illegally entered India to wage war against this nation & it’s people, but it's being called a FAKE encounter.

3. While there is no denying the fact that even Intelligence organizations have to be made accountable for their actions, it should also be remembered that this is an asymmetric war waged against an enemy who does not play by the rules & that nowhere in the world such organizations engaged in a shadowy war against terrorists, operate and can succeed within the rules applicable to normal security agencies dealing with common criminals. After the various terror attacks in India in public places including 2001 Parliament attack and specially the Indian airlines plan hijack incident of 1999, the security agencies had taken a decision to minimize taking terrorists in custody. Also, if we analyse many other encounters including Batala House in Delhi, we will find that this was not the only case where some terrorists could have been taken into custody instead of killing. Terrorists should be treated as special class of criminal & enemies of the state and must be eliminated without any hesitation. Even the collateral damage, if it occurs must be overlooked for the safety of the country & other citizens. India has shed enough blood & the criminally insane as well as agents of Pakistan/Bangladesh, who behave like bloodhounds should be shot at site as it is in the interest of the security of the masses.

4. The Government of the day must protect the people who sacrifice their life every day and not allow them to become fodder of terrorists & jihadis.. Politics must be set aside while dealing with terrorism. The intelligence agencies & its personnel must be treated with respect and not as fodder to get more votes to remain in power. But sadly in this Ishrat Jahan encounter case, the UPA & Congress Govt & their members are using it as a political tool to settle score with Narendra Modi. Their “Modiphobia” is such that they are now questioning the motive of IB, NIA & everyone just for the sake of politics. This they feel will help them garner sympathy vote of Muslim community in India, who vote in group as per the direction given by their religious leaders like Imam Bukhari. The so called “secular” Congress party is trying heaven & earth with the sole aim of 'catching' Narendra Modi by hook or crook, even if the terror operatives of LeT/JuD/JeM have a field day in massacring the people of this country. Otherwise why is CBI not questioning Ishrat’s mother as to why did she not filled a missing person complain when her daughter was not contactable for quite a few days?? Why are they not investigating how she came in contact with Javed Seikh, what were their relations & activities?? Why did she visit UP with Javed?? Why are they not investigating and answering, why the 3 others killed alongwith ishrat were in Gujarat and what were their background?? Of course, the “secular” Congress & it’s “caged parrot” CBI are scared that this will jeopardize their Muslim vote bank. It is an extremely worrisome development, where establishment for their own personal greed of power, can go to such an extent, that, they don't believe their own intelligence establishment & go on putting pressure on another investigating agency, to shield, aiding & abetting the disruptive forces of terrorism & their sympathisers, which are destabilising the very Nation, they are supposed to protect. The Congress Party is not only demoralizing the security forces & investigating/intelligence agencies, but also all apolitical/nationalistic citizens & groups, not thinking what adverse effect it will have on the existence of our Country.

Mr.Broom of Indian Politics

Congress sycophancy at its best - now Union Minister for agriculture Charandas Mahant says “If Soniaji asks me to pick up a broom & sweep, I will do it". While this kind of idolisation has been the trade mark of the congress party, but coming from a Union Minister- it brings forth the degree to which their members can stoop for personal gains. This is the tradition of Congress Party & nowhere else... you can see this. We find them in varying shades & degree in this party. There’re many such “Mr Brooms” in Congress & this political party thrives on such sycophants. Merit is the last thing they see in Congress. To get a post in the party or cabinet, they can do or say anything they feel. Everyone can remember similar words uttered by Giani Jail Singh when he became the President of our nation when Indira Gandhi was the Prime Minister. This is the real Congress, this is what Sonia, Rahul & all of them are all about. It's not changed since the days of Sonia's mother-in-law (from whom She has learnt her lessons in dictatorship & authoritarianism), only the name changes-- then it was Giani (?), now it is another nonentity by the name Mahant (?). If Soniaji asks them to sweep the floor & her toilet, they will do it happily - we don't have any objection. But if 120 billion people of India asks them for development , good governance, elimination of corruption & nepotism from an inefficient governing system- they would think twice, thrice & eventually say........NO. I’m not sure when we shall feel proud again as a nation & people with value & Dignity.

Dynasty & Indian Prime Minister

Our PM Mr. Manmohan Singh Said :-
"Rahul Gandhi is a natural leader of the Congress party & is fit enough to be a leader of the UPA — that is not a question of any speculation. I have always believed he has all the right qualities that a leader should have & as far as I am concerned, I would be very happy to see Rahul step into my shoes. I always believe we will have a good third go at the elections & people will again repose their faith in us,"

Dear Mr. Prime Minister, the citizens of India wants to know from you :-
Based on what Qualification or Achievement you're offering him the Post of Prime Minister of India? Apart from the fact of his birth in the Nehru-Gandhi family, how is he qualified to lead the Congress party can’t be convincingly explained by any member of your party. Such demeaning flattery of someone who has so far failed to distinguish himself in any field of human activity reflects very poorly on a 100 years old political party which could not find or rather allowed anybody to lead this party apart from members of a single family.

Modiphobia

The best & the funniest thing about the rise of Narendra Modi is how the Congress & most of the UPA constituents have fallen in love with Advani. All of them are shedding so much of tear for the Adavani era coming to an end that sometimes I fail to understand why they didn’t join BJP during his time. They beat BJP & NDA when Advani was projected as the PM candidate during the last 2 General Elections. So they know they can beat him easily & therefore trying to say, "aww poor Advani he is such a nice guy". But Modi represents an ideological challenge to the Dynasty and their loyalists who have ruled India by instilling fear into the mind of common people & society in the name of language, religion & caste and thereby completely destroyed India for their vote bank politics. These fascist forces have kept people of this country divided, uneducated only offering a corrupt culture, so that they can remain in power to loot this country. Modi's attempt is to revive India with nationalist agenda of equality and progress for all. His “India First” slogan has hit the cord with the educated Indian. However, it all depends on people of India, if they are ready to participate in this struggle of freedom from Congress. After all we get a Govt., that we deserve.

Fight Against Terrorism & Politics

Short-sighted & Power hungry leaders of the Congress like Sushil Kumar Shinde, do not seem to realise that they are playing into the hands of Pakistan & weakening India’s campaign against Pakistani state as well as non state terrorism. Pak...istan has been trying to link prosecution of the accused in the 26/11 attack in Mumbai with India’s prosecution of the accused in the Samjhauta Express blast. Shinde's totally unwarranted, mischievous & out of place statement carefully avoids any condemnation of the Pakistani state sponsored terrorism in India alongwith terrorist organizations like LeT, JuD, JeM & the known terror masterminds like Hafiz Saeed, Maulana Masud , Dawood Ibrahim or even their sympathisers like Hurriyat leaders of Kashmir or Akbaruddin Owaisi etc. Now 26/11 Mumbai attacks mastermind & LeT/JuD Chief Hafiz Saeed is exploiting Home Minister Shinde's “disastrous" speech during AICC meet at Jaipur against the RSS & BJP, saying Indian "propaganda" against Pakistan & Pakistani organisations of spreading terror now stood "exposed". He also accused India of involvement in terrorist activities in Pakistan along with spreading false propaganda against that country. He claimed that India tried to involve Pakistan & Pakistani nationals including him in the Mumbai attacks but even after 5 years, unable to establish anything against them in the courts. He also demanded that Pakistan govt. should take steps to get India declared "a terrorist state" by the UN Security Council. As per Saeed, there is Hindu terrorism against Muslims in India which justifies the LeT's acts of reprisal to protect the Indian Muslims.

Investigation into some pre-2008 terrorist incidents, based largely on the interrogation of some arrested Hindu suspects, who professed the Hindutva ideology, brought out that some of them such as the Malegaon & Samjhauta Express blasts were acts of reprisal against the Muslims by some Hindu extremists who had association with the RSS in the past. The investigation so far, have not found any evidence against the BJP or the RSS, & that they had any knowledge or role in these incidents. These can be at best purely rogue acts of reprisal by these individuals with past association with these organisations. But even the evidences against these individuals appears to be more circumstantial than direct. Moreover, immediately after the Samjhauta Express blast, the United States intelligence agencies had assessed that it was caused by the LeT. They’ve not come out with any subsequent denial on it. Investigation into these cases has been taken over by the National Investigation Agency formed by the Union home ministry in 2009 when P Chidambaram was the home minister. Despite all its efforts & resources, the NIA has not so far been able to come out with a comprehensive conclusion on the alleged involvement of some Hindu extremists in these incidents. MHA is not showing any sense of urgency in completing the investigation & prosecute the suspects. It looks like the Congress & UPA Govt. is trying to use NIA for politically demonise the BJP & the RSS by periodically levelling allegations against them & this will continue till 2014 General Election.
