Survival of Israel = Survival of Modern Civilization

The Israel-Palestine conflict is in news for the way Israel has retaliated for killing of Israelis by the Islamic terrorists of Palestine recently. But if we analyse closely we find that this is actually a war between people of two religions (Jews and Muslims) for the very reason that the Arab (Muslim) states of the Middle East don’t want a non-Muslim (Jews) state to survive and prosper among them. It’s actually a fight between a civilization of Jews against the barbarism of the jihadi Muslims. The tiny Jewish nation of Israel (about size of New Jersey) is surrounded by 21 Arab nations. The combined territory of Arab countries is 650 times greater than Israel and their population is 50 times greater than Israel. But the average per capita GDP in Arab countries is $3,700 versus $18,000 for Israel. This is despite the fact that many Arab countries have world's richest oil resources.

The Jewish people have maintained a well-documented, unbroken presence in Israel for well over 3,000 years, beginning in the 2nd millennium B.C.E., continuing under a long series of Jewish kingdoms and foreign rulers and through to the modern State of Israel. Even the Muslim holly book, Quran refers to the Jewish people as the “Children of Israel”. The historical Jewish right to a homeland was first recognized by the modern international community (and by Great Britain, which had gained control of the region from the Ottoman Empire during World War I) in the Balfour Declaration of 1917 and the League of Nations Mandate of 1922. Israel is the very embodiment of Jewish continuity: It is the only nation on earth that inhabits the same land, bears the same name, speaks the same language and worships the same God that it did 3,000 years ago. Following World War II, the British withdrew from their occupation of Palestine and in November 1947, the General Assembly of the United Nations recommended the partition of British-ruled Palestine into two separate states, one for Jews and one for Arabs. Accordingly, declaration of independence of the modern State of Israel was announced on 14th May’1948, as on that day the last British forces left Israel. A day after the declaration of independence of the State of Israel, armies of 5 Arab countries- Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq invaded Israel. This marked the beginning of the War of Independence. The UN partition plan of 1947 was rejected by all these Arab countries and Arab leadership in Israel and in the countries surrounding Israel, planned a Jihad (holy war) against Israel and encouraged the Arabs to leave Israel promising their return after they purge the land of Jews. Arab states have jointly waged four full scale wars against Israel by rejecting the establishment of the Jewish state: 1948 War of Independence,  1956 Sinai War, 1967 Six Day War and 1973 Yom Kippur War. But Despite the numerical superiority of the Arab armies, Israel defended itself each time and won. After each war Israeli army withdrew from most of the areas it captured. This is unprecedented in World history and shows Israel's willingness to reach peace even at the risk of fighting for its very existence each time it is attacked.

Since the 1940's to 1950's nearly all the Jews had to flee from Arab countries to avoid persecution and pogroms. The number of Jewish refugees from Arab countries is estimated to be a million. This number is greater than the number of Arab refugees who left Israel in 1948, estimated as 343,000. Most of the Jewish refugees from Arab countries rapidly integrated into the modern society of Israel. This, despite the fact that Israel is a tiny country without the world's richest resources of petroleum as  in the  Arab countries. Today, the majority of the people in Israel are the descendants of Jews from Arab countries (European Jews and their descendants constitute less than half the population of Israel). Arab refugee problem was created by the 5 Arab countries that attacked Israel in 1948. Arab refugees were intentionally not integrated into the Arab lands to which they fled, despite the fact that total territory of Arab countries is about 650 times greater than that of Israel. Since World War II, theirs is the only refugee group in the world that has not been absorbed into their own peoples' lands. Arab nations still maintain generations of the descendants of the refugees in so called "refugee camps" under squalid conditions with the hope that someday they will dislodge the Jews in Israel. The money spent by the Arab countries on armaments would be sufficient to build houses for all so called "refugees". Arab countries should be encouraged to care for their poor population instead of spending their richest resources in the world on armaments and development of terrorist groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas. Since 1948, after 3 generations the descendants of the Arab refugees are still called "refugees" and are supported by UN "refugee" funds. With the highest birth rate in Arab countries this population has now grown to about four million. In negotiations, Arab leadership requests the "right of return" of this mass of millions into the tiny land of Israel. The settlement of millions of Arabs in Israel would immediately eliminate Israel as a Jewish state. This is the real aim of the Arab countries, to achieve by supposedly "peaceful" means what they could not achieve by unceasing violence in whole scale wars and daily terrorism. The responsibility for keeping the Arab population, who are descendants of the Arab refugees, rests only on the shoulders of the Arab countries that created the problem by attacking Israel in 1948.

It’s a myth that Israel doesn’t want peace. History proves that, every time there was an opportunity – Israel always went that extra mile to ensure that conflict stops and peace prevails. On 25 April 1982, Israel withdrew from the Sinai pursuant to the 1979 Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty. In keeping with the framework established at the Madrid Conference in October 1991, bilateral negotiations were conducted between Israel and Palestinian representatives and Syria to achieve a permanent settlement. Israel and Palestinian officials signed on 13 September 1993, a Declaration of Principles (also known as the "Oslo Accords") guiding an interim period of Palestinian self-rule. Outstanding territorial and other disputes with Jordan were resolved in the 26 October 1994 Israel-Jordan Treaty of Peace. In addition, on 25 May 2000, Israel withdrew unilaterally from southern Lebanon, which it had occupied since 1982. In April 2003, US President Bush, working in conjunction with the EU, UN, and Russia - the "Quartet" - took the lead in laying out a roadmap to a final settlement of the conflict by 2005, based on reciprocal steps by the two parties leading to two states, Israel and a democratic Palestine. However, progress toward a permanent status agreement was undermined by the Palestinian violence between September 2003 and February 2005. In the summer of 2005, Israel unilaterally disengaged from the Gaza Strip, evacuating settlers and it’s military. The election of Hamas to head the Palestinian Legislative Council froze relations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA). Ehud Olmert became Prime Minister in March 2006 and had to face a 34-day conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon in June-August 2006 and a 23-day conflict with Hamas in the Gaza Strip during December 2008 and January 2009. The most recent proof of Israel’s peace intention is evident from the fact that on last Tuesday it accepted the Egypt mediated ceasefire on Palestine but the self-proclaimed protectors of Palestinians,  Hamas has rejected it and kept on firing missiles on Israeli towns and cities.

The Secularists in India should stop shedding tears for Hamas and other Islamic Jihadists fighting for decimation of Israel. Ceasefire can’t be unilateral and no country with spine will sit silently while its citizens are bombarded with rockets and missiles. It should also be remembered that fighting “Jihadi Terrorism” is an asymmetric war waged against an enemy who does not play by the rules & that nowhere in the world any nation engaged in a war against terrorists, operate and can succeed within the rules applicable to armed forces engaged in conventional war. Terrorists, their supporters and sympathisers should be treated as special class of criminal & enemies of the state and must be eliminated without any hesitation. Even the collateral damage, if it occurs must be overlooked for the safety of the country & other citizens. Therefore, Israel is doing the right thing by using all means to root out these religious fanatic terror organizations like Hezbollah and Hamas, who behave like bloodhounds on the interest of safety and security of Israeli citizens.

Why are these Secularist politicians, media and intellectuals remain silent when around the world Islamic Jihadists kill people from other religions randomly including women and children to establish the supremacy of Islam through the resurrection of the Khilafat, emphasis on the Muslim ummah & the waging of jihad? Why do they remain silent when one sect of Muslims are killing another sect of Muslims in thousands to restore Caliphate, claims religious authority over all Muslims of the world and aspires to bring much of the Muslim-inhabited regions of the world under its direct political control, beginning with territory in the Levant region, which includes Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Kuwait, Cyprus, and Turkey?

It's not hard to see that these so called seculars in India are complete hypocrites. These people never protested in support of Kashmiri Pandits. People who are putting "Save Gaza" in   banners or in their profile pictures on social media, have they ever said "Justice for Kashmiri Pandits"? Who are they loyal to? Secularism is a fashionable business in India for some dubious, good for nothing persons and organizations.  The secularists in our parliament are demanding a discussion on the current Israel-Gaza conflict – what is India’s national interest in the conflict that we should waste our time and money for such a discussion in parliament? Why should we condemn Israel when it’s the only country from Middle East, who is consistently supporting us in every international forum against the attack by Pakistan and Islamic countries on Kashmir and other such issues? Has ever these Arab countries discussed and condemned Pakistan for its proxy war or use of Jihadi terrorists against India viz, Parliament attack, 26/11 Mumbai attack, ceasefire violation by Pakistan in the LOC etc.? Global Jihad is the campaign under which Islamist terror outfits are urging Muslims in Kashmir and other parts of India to wage war against their own country with the intention of turning it into an Islamic state. One of ISIS’s maps of ‘world dominion’ includes parts of northern and western India, including Gujarat. Their aim is to establish Islamist world supremacy.

Make no mistake Muslims have got only one single hidden agenda, to establish Dar-ul-Islam (land of Islam) by either forcefully converting everyone to Islam or by violence. Their slogan is "Allah is our Lord, the Qur’an is our constitution, Muhammad is our leader, jihad is our way & shahada is our desire". For them the concepts of secularism, democracy & nationalism are antithetical to Islam. They can’t live in a pluralistic, secular and modern progressive society. In any country, where Muslims are a minority say 2%-10% , they will pose as Seculars and liberals and once they cross 10-20% , they start demanding separate laws, Sharia laws, Separate educational facilities and eventually reservations, political parties, constituencies and finally when they cross 50% they will ask for a Islamic theocratic state. Hence, there is no Muslim majority secular country in this world. The saying that Islam as liberal and tolerant is a myth and a hoax, there is no liberal Islam. One has to look at the misdeeds of members of this religion in any part of the world over centuries. In Every country they ruled they destroyed temples, churches, synagogues and built mosques over them. Take India’s example, all the major temples were demolished and mosques were built over them- Kashi, Mathura, Ayodhya, these barbarians even destroyed Nalanda University. Take Istanbul, St. Sophias church was made into a Mosque. Take Jerusalem, they destroyed the synagogues and build the Al-Aqsa mosque there. Take Cordoba Spain, many churches were destroyed and mosques were build.  Attack on Hindu, Jews and Christian neighbours by the Arabs were not in self-defence. Indians did not destroy any Twin Towers of Madina nor did they kill 3000 innocent Arabs, but still they were invaded. Millions of Indians were killed and millions taken slave in these attacks on India by barbaric invaders like Bin Qasim, Mahmud Ghazani, Nadir Shah, Amir Timur and Abdali. They kept attacking Europe ever since the first century of Islamic calendar without any provocation by Europeans. A hadith of the Holy Prophet had promised paradise for the great Muslims, who would conquer Constantinople city. Tariq bin Ziyad attacked Spain not against provocation or in self-defence but to conquer. Turks kept invading Europe till 18th century.

This is the crux of the Israel-Arab conflict. It’s the desire of the Muslims of the Arab world to see the demise of the only non-Muslim Nation in its midst, which is the only reason and cause of this conflict. If the Muslims stop their guns, there will be peace in Middle East, but if Jews stops their guns, there will be no Israel.  The Israelis know the Jewish nation has been one defeat away from extinction for last 65 years. They also know that the Palestinian leadership is virtually hopeless, wherein the people who are moderate are not effective and the people who are effective are not moderate. Palestine state is headed by an ineffective, powerless President Mahmoud Abbas. It was Abbas, who presided over the division of the Palestinians into Fatah and Hamas. Hamas doesn't want peace, and Fatah can't deliver it. Indeed, without the support of the Israeli Defence Forces, even now it is under threat of being displaced by Hamas. Israel is so small it has no margin for error. A Hamas takeover of the West Bank and Gaza, would put Ben-Gurion Airport and major cities like Tel Aviv in the firing line, which would render Israel virtually uninhabitable.  And without the current operations, it is estimated that within 2 to 3 months new rockets supplied to Hamas by Iran and assembled in Gaza would have been able to hit Tel Aviv.  No government could ignore these threats to its people. Yet Israel's belated response has been challenged as "disproportionate". This is ridiculous. Should Israel wait until the number of dead is piled high enough to justify a "proportioned" response?  Hamas leader Ismail Haniya has made it clear that Hamas seeks nothing less than an Islamic state of greater Palestine as its covenant describes "to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine” and  that Hamas will never recognize Israel nor honour any of the existing agreements with the infidels. Its founder, Abdul Aziz Rantizi, is more explicit, "we will not leave one Jew in Palestine".

So the Israel-Arab conflict must be seen from a bigger canvas – it’s not just about creating a Jewish or Palestinian state but also about preventing the region's take over by radical Islam, especially Iran, which has co-opted Hamas and Hezbollah. If Hamas is successful, it will be a victory of barbarism over civilization. If Israel cannot survive, perhaps the modern, pluralistic, liberal, secular, civilized world won’t be able to last, either. Jihadis of various label view Israel and the rest of the secular, liberal, modern nations as conjoined and inseparable. Even though we may not see our destiny as inextricably linked with Israel's, they do. If we give up on Israel, they will simply take that as a sign that they might be able to pressure us next to give up on Delhi, Moscow, Sydney, London or New York etc. What would organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIS, Al Qaeda, LeT etc. do if it ever managed to dismantle Israel or achieve Caliphate in the Levant region or complete control of Afganistan or Kashmir : pat itself on the back and close up? Not at all. Hamas co-founder Mahmud Az-Zahar has long said that should that happy day ever come, his organization would merely turn its efforts to the spread of Islam in the rest of the non-Islamic world, by force if necessary. To this end, Hamas has set up training camps in the former Soviet republic of Georgia. And Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Hezbollah, has frequently urged Palestinians and the Muslims world over to fight not only Israel but the whole non Islamic world, which he has described as satanic. To save Humanity, all these Islamic Jihadists  must be defeated, it has blood of all secular religions and civilizations on its hands.
