JNU and Its Seditious Freedom of Anti Nationalism

In the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), the “Gurukul” (ideological hub) of India’s Left-Liberal-Pseudosecular forces, Afzal Guru who was hanged in 2013 for his role in the 2001 Parliament attack and Maqbool Bhat, the co-founder of the terrorist organization JKLF, who was hanged in 1984 are “Martyrs”. Hence, on last tuesday (9th Feb, the day Afzal Guru was hanged 3 years back), the members of Democratic Students’ Union (DSU) with support from All India Students’ Association (AISA), All India Students’ Federation (AISF) and Students’ Federation of India (SFI) organized a meet to commemorate the "judicial killing" of the duo. Posters were pasted all across the campus, announcing an art and a photo exhibition portraying the history of the occupation of Kashmir and struggle of the Kashmiri People for their democratic right to self-determination. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) registered its reservations against the anti-national move with the Vice-Chancellor (VC) and the permission for the event camouflaged as a "Cultural Evening of Protest" was cancelled by the VC. But inspite of cancellation of permission by the VC, not only did the protest meet take place in front of Sabarmati hostel, the protesters also staged a march from the hostel to the Ganga Dhahba near the main gate. Slogans like "Kashmir ki azadi tak jung chalegi, Bharat ki barbadi tak jung chalegi" were reportedly raised at the protest meet.

But what does the Communist-Liberals-Pseudoseculars at the JNU want to portray and prove by celebrating terrorists as heroes and taking up the cause of anti-nationals and Pakistan for separating a part of our country? Can this happen in any other democratic, civilized country in this world except India? They talk about freedom of expression – but does any country, those Communist-Liberals admire, allow anti national activity in the garb of freedom of expression? The seeds of anti national activity in the garb of democracy, liberalism and secular culture were sown since the days of Jawaharlal Nehru as Prime Minister by the Congress party for the sake of votes to remain in power and that is now showing its demonising character. The Left and Congress are encouraging and instigating such events where some of our countrymen are supporting the enemies of our nation, who attacked our parliament inspite of the fact that the highest court of our country prosecuted them as guilty through a transparent and appropriate judicial process. Does it not amount to contempt of our courts? Is it not a fit case for the organizers and participants of that event to be booked and tried for sedition and punished? If some people in this country don't respect Indian Constitution and Judiciary and take up causes for Pakistan and Separatists, they should actually not be allowed the rights and life of bonafied citizens of this country. JNU since inception has acted as a recruitment and nurturing ground for radical and anti-national ideologies at the cost of tax payers money. The whole atmosphere in the campus of this institution has been moulded to brainwash students by certain political forces towards anti India, pro naxal, anti progressive leanings. If that is called liberal, democratic ideology then better we be conservatives. No protests is justified against someone convicted for treason. JNU is behaving and working like the terrorist training camps operating from Pakistan but unfortunately this overground terrorist camp is operating inside India at the heart of our national capital funded by Indian tax payers money. This can happen only in India but still, these same elements call us intolerant nation.

There should be a total overhaul at JNU. This perverse and irrational fantasy about an “independent Kashmir” or “workers and peasants rule through revolution” or “diving our society on caste lines by creating super privileged dalits above laws of the land” must be dealt strongly. Giving credibility to such forces by inviting them on prime time TV debates or for seminars must also be stopped even if that means curtailment of their “seditious and anti-national freedom of expression”. From their fanatical support to Maoists, Invaders and espousing the cause of Afzal Guru to Kashmiri separatists, their seditious activities have reached astronomical levels. This is only because they know that the secular political parties like Congress, Left front and some of the regional parties will come to their support even by defending terrorists and compromise national integrity and security by diving Hindu votes or to garner Muslim votes. These students are doing exactly what Rohith Vemula did and they know if any action is taken against them their political masters will stall the Parliament. But, we must expose them alongwith the forces backing and sponsoring them without any compromise. All the students who participated in the event glorifying convicted terrorists in the campus should be expelled from university and arrested immediately. It is not freedom of speech or action. Questioning the integrity and sovereignty of the nation, espousing the cause of separatists and terrorists, opposing the judgement of the highest court of the land is anti-national activity. It should not be allowed to spread and grow. Anti national face of these Liberal-Leftists-Secular forces should be exposed, They can't be allowed to run amok in the guise of intellectualism, democracy and freedom of expression. These are elements, who sympathize with militants & enemies of the nation and provide moral & logistical support to them. Govt. should clear the prestigious institutions from these forces. Otherwise such incidents will continue to reoccur and tomorrow they will say Hafiz Sayeed and Maulana Masood Azhar are saints and they are being accused only because they are Muslims. Judiciary should also not take these anti national activities lying down, as by organizing such events supporting convicted terrorists they are actually humiliating and demeaning the judiciary. It’s high time we show them limits of our tolerance and stop these nonsense in name of liberal democracy and freedom of speech.

No doubt, Jawaharlal Nehru University and Jawaharlal Nehru the Prime Minister – both have proved to be disastrous for our nation.
